The Party of Alberta is just an federal, Alberta-centric party; neither federalist nor separatist labels really apply, as we have supporters who come from both sides of that fence.
And the roots of the effort go back before the Tories' current turn of fortunes. Actually, it has its roots before Harper even won power.
