Astronomy Update

Here's a site dedicated to making the MOST from astronomy (bad joke, I know, but they are Canadian!)

Here's one of the coolest sites I've ever run across, Centauri Dreams. 'Imagining and planning space exploration' - indeed!

Another site that is way, way, way beyond cool for astronomy enthusiasts, Wiki-Sky.

It's a little late, but here's the Bad Astronomer discussing the possibility of liquid water on Mars (sweet).

Even more shocking is the recent evidence of a mega-supernova - one that is roughly
100 times more powerful than any ever discovered before.

Money quote:

"Unlike other exploding stars, which peak at brightness for a couple of weeks at most, this supernova, peaked for 70 days, according to NASA. And it has been shining at levels brighter than other supernovae for several months, Smith said."

NASA also revealed that they will be looking to build a Moon-base by 2024!
